After another long hiatus, Perusing the Pages will begin to see activity again. Please take some time to look around and see what's been updated over the next few days.

Quote of the Month

(From Elizabeth Gilbert on nurturing creativity)
"Listen you, thing, you and I both know that if this book isn't brilliant that is not entirely my fault, right? Because you can see that I am putting everything I have into this, I don't have anymore than this. So if you want it to be better, then you've got to show up and do your part of the deal. OK. But if you don't do that, you know what, the hell with it. I'm going to keep writing anyway because that's my job. And I would please like the record to reflect today that I showed up for my part of the job." - Elizabeth Gilbert

What Am I Working On?

Being a writer, one tends to end up with a lot of crazy, imaginative ideas constantly swirling around inside the person's head. I'm no different. Even as I'm working on one project, I'll already be brainstorming my next project. This is where you'll get to read about what I'm planning to write next or maybe just some themes and ideas I'm still playing around with. Of course, if you like an idea of mine and think I should go ahead with it right away, or if you think maybe I should put an idea on the shelf and focus on something else instead, don't hesitate to go to the Feedback page and let me know. You can also tell me through email and in the forum.

Current Projects

I've been working on a companion story to "Fiera's Beginning" called "Tharion's Beginning." Although Tharion and Fiera don't cross paths until the end of "Tharion's Beginning", their paths in life will coincide more and more throughout the next installment in the Mystic Forest series I'm planning. Unfortunately, the progress of "Tharion's Beginning has been slower than I had originally hoped. I had a lot of problems writing it and had to go back three times and revise. At times, I had to rewrite entire chapters. I've been having trouble with the pacing of Chapter Seven recently, but with the unexpected website move, I was forced to put that on hold while I found somewhere new to host my site. I hope to complete "Tharion's beginning" shortly after completing this website.

Planned Projects

I'm very excited to share with you that I've recently decided to take on a rather large writing project for myself. I'm a fan of the genre, but have never written anything like it before. I'm planning on writing a vampire romance called Bitter Moon (that is its working title). I realize that with the widely popular Twilight books by Stephenie Meyer, vampire romance fandom has turned the genre into somewhat of a joke, but my aim will be to try and veer away from this stale, overdone idea of a bland girl who meets a mysterious boy at her high school, finds out he's a vampire and falls in love with him. Mine is going to be quite different from this boring, washed out cliché. I won't say too much about the plot itself, but my blog has some information on this as well. Right now, I'm in the very early research stages of the project and am unsure how long the research process will take for this. When I have a date in mind where the resaerch process ends and the writing process begins, I will post it.

Apart from my main project-in-planning, Bitter Moon, I'm also hoping to finish up some old projects that were never completed and revise a few of my completed projects that still need some to a lot of work. You can also read more about this in my latest blog entry.

I'm very excited to share all of these ideas with you once they're put onto paper.
